Winning Harrisburg Magazine’s Simply the Best can be overwhelming, especially the first couple of times. And winners often have a lot of questions about what it means, what is required, and what they need to know. Hopefully, this page will resolve all of that. We will cover the following: Need to Know Info, advertisements, Logos, the Gala, Plaques, and Merchandise.
Announcements
Winners cannot publicly announce their win until August 15th, 2026 or until the winners are announced by Harrisburg Magazine. This is a requirement of accepting your win. Since it is our competition, please respect our desire to be the first to annouce the winners. We understand you are exceited. But we must insist.
Advertisement
If you are interested in advertising in the August issue and have not been contacted by a Sales Rep, please fill out this form ASAP. We will contact you immediately. You win is NOT dependant on advertising.
Logos and Promotion
The Simply the Best and Readers’ Choice logos will be posted here after AUGUST 15, 2026. (To ensure that no one posts about their win before then.) Please note: If you won Readers’ Choice, you cannot use the Simply the Best logo to promote your win. If you won both Simply the Best and Readers’ Choice, you should use BOTH logos.
The Gala
The Gala is Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 6pm to 10pm at the Penn Harris Hotel located at 1150 Camp Hill Byp, Camp Hill, PA 17011. Early Bird tickets are just $80 and are on sale through July 31, 2026. On August 1, tickets are $90. (The same price as last year!) To purchase tickets, go to stbvote.com/tickets
Plaques
Plaques are once again available for $125. You can order them here: https://harrisburgmagazine.com/simply-the-best-plaques/. Please note that due to limitations in staff we are not able to start preparing plaques until August. It usually takes 4-6 weeks to get a batch done. Once they are done, you will be contacted to pick them up (or to let you know when they will be delivered).
Merchandise
We have an “official” merchandise site https://www.promoteyourwin.com/ It is the only place that you can get quality merchandise using our logos. We will be updating it with new items in August 2026. We start working on merchandise orders in August. It usually takes 1-2 weeks for your order to arrive.
WE WILL NOT CALLL YOU ABOUT PURCHASING MERCHADISE! A number of foreign-based companies take our winners list and then call, email and harass winners every year. Their merchadise is higher-priced, does not use our logos, and is usually poorly made. If you wish to order merchandise we do not offer, let us know and we will assist you (if possible). If there is a local business that you want to work with, let us know. We offer mercandise as a service to you.
Scams
We are aware of people who use Harrisburg Magazine and Simply the Best competition in an attempt to scam people. They have been known to represent that they are authorized to work with us. THEY ARE NOT! If it is not mentioned and linked on this page, it is not legitimate. They like to sell cheap merchandise for extranominal fees.
